What is Moonbase?

Moonbase is the official staking DAPP of Moonbeamer. This provides $MOON holders with the opportunity to earn more $MOON by staking their tokens. Users can stake their $MOON tokens for a set period and earn rewards in return. The longer the tokens are staked, the higher the potential rewards.

Aside from earning a potential amount of $MOON tokens by staking on our dapp you will also be receiving:

Blast Points - Blast Points are earned when you possess ETH or USDB on Blast. Earned fees and a portion of the presale will be locked on our Moonbase Dapp to earn Blast Points. Staked $MOON tokens on our dapp will earn a percentage based on how long and how much $MOON tokens are staked.

Blast Gold - Blast Gold is an incentive distributed by Blast based on dapp performance. According to Pacman, dapp activity will be the primary criterion for his plans to award Gold to NFT projects, although he will consider other factors as well, like art and community. Assuming we get Blast Gold, staked $MOON tokens on our dapp will earn a percentage of this, determined by how long and how much $MOON tokens are being staked.

Blast Gas Fees - Blast network allows gas fees to be collected by the protocol and redistributed to users. We'll be collecting ALL fees from staking, beaming, etc. and distributing them to the users of our DAPP.

We will also open Moonbase to other NFT projects where they can create their pool and create another opportunity for their community to acquire incentives. This will create more opportunities for users to earn rewards and incentives by participating in the Moonbeamer ecosystem. By expanding the staking options beyond just $MOON tokens, we aim to attract a wider audience and increase engagement within our community. *Note that at the time of writing this document, NFT projects are still not included in the GOLD distribution. Rest assured that all NFT projects including Moonbeamer are already collaborating with the BLAST Team to include NFT projects on GOLD distribution and once included we will be distributing GOLD to users of the DAPP.
